One of the best things that Mahomes does is slide underneath a fast rushing edge rusher, then duck out to the right side, trying to throw on the run to an open receiver. The last time the Chiefs traveled to Oakland on a Thursday night, the winless Raiders pulled out the victory. Oakland doesn't appear to have much of a running game which will be a big factor in the rain. If Derek Carr gets a rhythm with his receivers, though, it could be a long night for Kansas City.

The defense got the message and kept the Steelers out of the endzone in their playoff meeting this January. Yes, force that in/then out type scramble then stunt/loop/adjust coverage right into that side of the field. The Chiefs want Mahomes in the pocket throwing cleanly, but they also love the creativity when Mahomes escapes. So, let him escape, then trap him into that decision with a well placed secondary pass rush and linebacker/secondary adjustments. Like a finger trap, it's the opposite of what you'd expect to do, but when used effectively, it could really cut off half the field against Mahomes, if planned right and executed properly.

The Texans shared the Cotton Bowl with the NFL's Dallas Cowboys for three seasons. The Texans were to have exclusive access to the stadium until the NFL put an expansion team, the Dallas Cowboys, there. While the team averaged a league-best 24,500 at the Cotton Bowl, the Texans gained less attention due to the AFL's relatively lower profile compared to the NFL's. In the franchise's first two seasons, the team managed only an 8–6 and 6–8 record, respectively.
